Panos STAFYLAS

Panos Stafylas is the Scientific Director of HEALTHINK, with over two decades of experience across clinical medicine and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), focusing on pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and digital health technologies. Trained as a cardiologist, he holds an MBA in Healthcare Management with a focus on pharmacoeconomic modelling and simulation, and a PhD in cardiovascular risk factors.
His career combines clinical expertise with extensive involvement in European and national HTA and market access processes, supporting evidence generation, value demonstration, and reimbursement strategies for innovative health technologies. He has served as scientific coordinator and evaluation leader in multiple European digital health and integrated care projects, particularly in chronic disease management. At HEALTHINK, he supports pharmaceutical and MedTech companies across the full product lifecycle, from early evidence planning to reimbursement.

He also collaborates with scientific associations, universities, research centres, and European consortia on research projects and RWE generation, while contributing to national healthcare initiatives and policy actions that promote value-based and sustainable healthcare systems.
In parallel, he maintains active academic engagement, teaching HTA, pharmacoeconomics, and health economic modelling in postgraduate programs at the Medical Schools of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as the University of Macedonia.
